Overview
Central Otago's finest sub-region. Schist-covered terraces above the Kawarau River gorge, severe continental climate and extraordinary UV intensity produce Pinot Noir of intense dark fruit, structure and mineral backbone — darker and more powerful than Marlborough, closer to a great Burgundy Premier Cru in character.
