Overview
The world's first officially classified wine region (1730 — decades before Bordeaux). Aszú berries shrivelled by noble rot are added by 'puttony' measure to dry base wine, producing increasingly rich levels: 3-puttonyos to the legendary Eszencia (barely fermented, 250g/l residual sugar).
